 NOTICE OF PEACEFUL PROTEST Date: December 5th, 2024 Time: 10:00 am Venue: Sango Under Bridge (To IBEDC Office) To: All Ogun Westerners, IBEDC Management, All Security Agencies and the general public. We, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ogun State West senatorial district, write to notify you of a peaceful protest by the youths of Ogun West senatorial district. This protest is in response to the prolonged power outages affecting over 16 communities in Yewa North local government area and other communities in Ogun West at large, which has persisted for over three years and the Failure of the IBEDC Technical Section to meet up with our request in the letter sent to them on the 15th of November, 2024. This action of negligence shows that the IBEDC as an organization is less concerned about the well-being of our people and the Failure of IBEDC to attend to the Youths Leadership Request as stated in our letter between today and Tuesday 2nd of December will leave us with no option...

Imeko Youth Commend Celestial Leadership, Urge Fulfillment of Promises

  The youth of Imeko have praised the Celestial leadership for initiating the construction of roads surrounding the Celestial Cathedral, including the road adjacent to Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa's residence. They urged the engineers to maintain high standards. The Imeko Youth leadership reminded the Celestial leaders of their outstanding promises, including: 1. Completing and beautifying the Celestial Basilica 2. Constructing roads within the Celestial compound 3. Establishing the Celestial International University, Imeko 4. Celestial Medical Centre e.t.c These projects will transform Imeko, boost socioeconomic development, and accelerate progress in the Celestial community and Imeko township.   FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE IMEKO YOUTHS APPEALS TO GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, COMMUNITY LEADERS TO ADDRESS PROLONGED BLACKOUT The youths of Imeko are urgently appealing to government officials, community leaders, IBEDC officials to intervene and find a lasting solution to the prolonged blackout that has plagued our community for a Year now. The persistent power outage has severely impacted our daily lives, causing untold hardship and economic losses. Businesses have been forced to shut down, students are struggling to study, and healthcare services are compromised. We, the concerned youths of Imeko, respectfully request that the relevant authorities should take immediate action to investigate the root cause of the blackout, and develop a comprehensive plan to restore electricity supply in Imeko community and environment.
