Obatedo Youth Development Initiative recently celebrated its 10th anniversary in grand style, marking a decade of development and progress in Imeko. The event, held on January 4, 2025, was a momentous occasion for the organization, which was established in 2015.

As part of the celebrations, Obatedo Youth awarded stakeholders, community leaders, and vibrant youths from Imeko town and beyond. Notable awardees included Balogun Imeko-Isale Alhaji Chief Ganiyu Akinleye Ara, Alhaji Chief Yaya Fadipe (Immediate past Imeko-Afon LG chairman), and Comr. Kehinde Damilola Olorunjubelo (VC NYCN Ogun west), Comr. Azandjo Elidjah Emmanuel (Coordinator NYCN Imeko-Afon LG Branch) Comr. Ogunleye Seun (Imeko Youth Leader) among others.

The President of Obatedo Youth Development Initiative, Comr. Hammed Babatunde, reflected on the organization's journey, describing it as a "ladder" that helped him reach his current position. He encouraged younger members to emulate the spirit of love, community service, and youth development that defines the organization.

The anniversary program began with sanitation activities, followed by a health sensitization program organized in collaboration with the NYCN state directorate health and Imeko Progressive Youth Alliance where Comr. Hammed Babatunde is currently serving as Deputy director and President respectively. This event marked a significant milestone for Obatedo Youth Development Initiative, highlighting its commitment to community development and youth empowerment.
