DECLARATION OF INTENT FOR NATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT SOUTH WEST ZONE, NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA.

 


Dear Respected Leaders, State Chairmen, Heads of Organizations, and all concerned Stakeholders,


I come before you with humility and great trust in your spirit towards a brighter South West and Nigeria as a whole. It's on this note that I'm soliciting your maximum support for the position of Vice President, South West Zone, in the coming election.


My aspiration wasn't born out of eagerness for a position but out of attestation and hope from relevant stakeholders in my capacity and experience in making things happen, which I've proved in the offices I've held (State Organizing Secretary, Ogun West, and currently State Vice Chairman, Ogun West).


As a believer in words and action, I'd like to highlight some of my achievements as State Vice Chairman, Ogun West Senatorial District, with assurance to do better if permitted and bestowed with trust:


This year (2025):


- Facilitated procurement of electricity materials worth ₦54.8 million for 21 communities in Yewa North Local Government. ( From Dangote Cement PLC, Ibese plant) for the reconnection after a blackout for four good years.

- Organized leadership retreat for council local branch executives, heads of organizations, and secretaries.

- Conducted Ogun West Youth Medical Outreach in the two axes of the District (Yewa & Awori) with over 1,400 beneficiaries.

- Organized Ogun West Youth Skills Acquisition and Empowerment program, (a Three weeks camping for 300 youths) which end August, 20, 2025 and 107 participants were fully empowered with equipment and cash grants which was presented by some of the important council leaders and stakeholders in Ogun State, my energetic State chairman, Oloye Akolawole Soremi and immediate Chairman Hon.(Alh.) Abdul Jabar Ayelagbe and many others.

- Hosted the Maiden Edition of Ogun West Youth Summit with the attendance of high-profile personalities in the state, to mention a few, the Deputy State Governor, Honorable House of Representatives in the district, Royal Fathers, and the Council's past leaders.


In the Year 2024


- Held the maiden edition of Ogun West Youth Award.

- Engaged in community services like environmental sanitation.

- Provided scholarships to 41 students and many others. 


In Addition to all that was stated above, Constant engagement with the Council Leaders and Elders was ensured to give them a sense of belonging, tap into their knowledge and guidance. 

It's also in my vision to have a yearly visit and engagement across the states in the South West, of course, it's already inbuilt as I have demonstrated during this course of my services. 


I have no doubt that I, along with other elected officers, can do more and make you all proud if given the opportunity to serve.

Imeko Youth Seek Federal Government’s Intervention to Establish National Park at Amule Rock

  ‎ Youths of Imeko community in Ogun State have called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to establish a National Park at the historic Amule Rock , Imeko , in order to preserve its cultural, environmental, and historical significance . The youths also appealed to the Ogun State Government to urgently develop the site into a standard tourist center capable of attracting visitors from within and outside the country. ‎Speaking during a community engagement held in Imeko, the youth spokesman described Amule Rock as a vital cultural landmark that represents the identity, traditions, and heritage of the Imeko people . OGUN WEST YOUTHS CLOSE RANKS, MOBILIZE FOR 2027 GOVERNORSHIP PUSH

Youth stakeholders from the Ogun West Senatorial District have thrown their collective weight behind a consensus-driven bid to wrest the state's governorship for the district in 2027, signalling a new chapter of coordinated political action in one of Ogun State's most historically significant zones. The declaration emerged from a stakeholders' engagement and townhall meeting convened by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogun West chapter, under the stewardship of its State Vice Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Damilola Olorunjubelo.
