Imeko-Afon Youth respectfully reminds His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, of the commitment made to the good people of Imeko Afon regarding the reconstruction of the Olorunda to Imeko Road.


 The Leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Imeko Afon Local Branch, respectfully reminds His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, of the commitment made to the good people of Imeko Afon regarding the reconstruction of the Olorunda to Imeko Road.


We appreciate the efforts and support of the executive governor for his intervention on construction of Afon Town road, Oke Ola road Imeko Town and many more road projects within his administration, we also appreciate the Governor for fulfilling his promise during the commissioning of Afon township road. 


This road remains a critical link for economic activities, transportation, education, and healthcare access for residents and neighboring communities. For years, the condition of the road has posed serious challenges to commuters, farmers, traders, students, and motorists who rely on it daily. The promise to reconstruct this road brought renewed hope to our people,who believe strongly in the developmental vision of the present administration.


As a body that represents the collective voice and aspirations of the youth within Imeko Afon Local Government, we consider it our responsibility to respectfully call attention to this important commitment. The reconstruction of the Olorunda Imeko Road will not only ease transportation but will also stimulate local economic growth, improve safety, and strengthen the connection between our rural communities and the wider Ogun State economy.


We therefore appeal to His Excellency to kindly prioritize and fulfill this promise in the interest of the people whose confidence and support remain firmly with the government.


The youth of Imeko Afon are hopeful and optimistic that this project will soon move from promise to visible reality. We remain committed to supporting every genuine effort aimed at the development and progress of our dear local government and Ogun State at large.

Imeko Youth Seek Federal Government’s Intervention to Establish National Park at Amule Rock

  ‎ Youths of Imeko community in Ogun State have called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to establish a National Park at the historic Amule Rock , Imeko , in order to preserve its cultural, environmental, and historical significance . The youths also appealed to the Ogun State Government to urgently develop the site into a standard tourist center capable of attracting visitors from within and outside the country. ‎Speaking during a community engagement held in Imeko, the youth spokesman described Amule Rock as a vital cultural landmark that represents the identity, traditions, and heritage of the Imeko people .
